Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has sent a message to Inter Milan that it will be a “long season” in the Serie A title race.

The former Fiorentina striker posted on his Instagram account to emphasize the Bianconeri’s desire to bounce back from their surprise draw at home to Empoli.

Juventus dropped points for just the sixth time yesterday.

The Bianconeri were only able to manage a draw against Empoli at the Allianz Stadium.

This has certainly handed a big boost to Inter in the Serie A title race. The Nerazzurri have the chance to regain top spot in the table this evening by beating Fiorentina – with a game in hand no less.

Then next weekend, Inter and Juventus will go head-to-head.

The top two teams in the league will meet at the San Siro.

Certainly, if the Nerazzurri were to go back to the top of the table, it would hand them plenty of momentum going into that potentially decisive Derby d’Italia.

But Juventus’s striker Vlahovic doesn’t want his team to dwell on the numbers at the top of the table.

As far as the Serbian international is concerned, there is still too long to go to be thinking about things like that.

Dusan Vlahovic Sends Message To Inter In Serie A Title Race: “It’s A Long Season”

Vlahovic writes that “The gape is still small. And it’s still a long season.”

“We don’t want to be looking at the numbers,” the 24-year-old continues.

“Let’s keep believing in our goals and working hard to achieve them,” Vlahovic writes.

Juventus’s draw means that they finish the weekend on 53 points after having played 22 matches.

Meanwhile, Inter have played twenty matches so far. The Nerazzurri are currently on 51 points.

However, a win would take Inter to 54 points, one clear of Juventus and with one match played fewer.
