Midfielder Stefano Sensi will be part of Inter Milan’s squad for tomorrow evening’s Serie A match against Juventus.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old will be back in the squad after his move to Leciester City fell through.

It had looked for all the world as though Sensi would be a Leicester player at the start of February.

Inter and Leicester had been negotiating a transfer of the ex-Sassuolo midfielder for much of the January transfer window.

And there had been a broad agreement on a deal. The Foxes would pay the Nerazzurri around €2.5-3 million in total, with some of that amount potentially conditional on reaching the Premier League.

The last few days have seen plenty of suspense and uncertainty regarding whether or not Sensi would make the move to the King Power Stadium.

The Italian international did finally travel to England at just about the eleventh-hour.

Sensi eventually passed his medicals, and everything looked ready to go through.

But in the end, Leicester did not complete the move. The reasons for this concerned some issues with financial restrictions, which ultimately did not allow the Foxes to make the transfer happen.

All of this means that Sensi is still an Inter player.

The 28-year-old will be at the Nerazzurri until the end of the current campaign. At that point, he will certainly leave when his contract expires.

But in the meantime, Sensi could still have a role to play.

If the first half of the season is anything to go by, Sensi certainly won’t get much playing time.

So far this campaign, the former Monza and Sampdoria man has made just four appearances.

All four were just cameo appearances from the bench.

But that does not mean that Sensi will be frozen out of the squad for the last remaining months of his time at Inter or anything like that.
