Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has launched into a verbal tirade against the agent of Piotr Zielinski over his transfer to Inter Milan.

Speaking in a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews, the outspoken Partenopei President fired out at the representative of the 29-year-old midfielder, accusing him of just wanting extra cash.

It now appears to be only a matter of time.

Zielinski will be an Inter player soon.

The Polish international has made his decision. He has rejected all offers from Napoli to extend his contract, and will instead make the switch to the Nerazzurri on a free transfer at the end of June.

Naturally, situations like this always come with a bit of controversy.

There had been a similar mood regarding the departure of defender Milan Skriniar from Inter last summer in virtually identical circumstances.

And there is always an atmosphere of volatility where Napoli President De Laurentiis is concerned.

The Napoli President has never made any effort to hide his true feelings.

So it is perhaps little surprise that De Laurentiis has cleared the air regarding what he thinks are the real reason why Zielinski is leaving Naples after eight years to join Inter.

Napoli President De Laurentiis Hits Out At Zielinski Agent Over Inter Transfer

De Laurentiis began with a dig at the departing midfielder. “Have you seen Piotr’s performances?” the Napoli President posed.

“In the last ten matches he has been disappointing.”

“Last summer he told me he wanted to stay,” De Laurentiis said of ZIelinski.

“I’m angry at Bolek, his agent,” he continued. “Who doesn’t he wanted him to stay, because he wants to transfer him to another team to earn more money.”

“Now he might be afraid of getting injured because he still has to sign his contract,” the Napoli President continued to speculate, regarding potentially ulterior motives for the Inter-bound midfielder.
