Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi will reportedly maintain the same starting lineup that beat Juventus for the showdown against AS Roma.

The Nerazzurri earned an invaluable victory in the direct Scudetto battle against the Bianconeri last weekend thanks to Federico Gatti’s own goal.

This win allowed Inzaghi’s men to open a four-point gap with their closest chasers. They also have an extra match in hand.

Nevertheless, another big clash awaits Inter this weekend. They travel to the Italian capital to lock horns with Roma who might be enjoying a revival following the appointment of Daniele De Rossi as head coach.

According to Sky Sport Italia via FcInter1908, Inzaghi plans to confirm the same lineup.

The 47-year-old was satisfied by his team’s display in the Derby d’Italia, so he’ll unleash an identical starting XI.

This means that Yann Sommer starts in goal while Benjamin Pavard, Francesco Acerbi and Alessandro Bastoni start at the back.

Acerbi in particular has a major role to play. The veteran will renew his duel with Romelu Lukaku. In the reverse fixture, the Italian defender managed to nullify the Belgian’s threat

Inter Milan Coach Simone Inzaghi To Confirm The Same Starting Lineup Vs AS Roma

In the middle of the park, Hakan Calhanoglu will operate as a deep-lying playmaker between Nicolo Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. On the other hand, Davide Frattesi will miss the encounter against his former club through injury.

On the right side, Matteo Darmian should maintain his starting berth. However, Denzel Dumfries is pushing to regain the spot he lost following his injury in December. Therefore, this remains the only selection headache that Inzaghi will have to sort.

On the opposite flank, Federico Dimarco will get the nod, while Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram spearhead the lineup.
