New Roma coach Daniele De Rossi charges his troops before Saturday’s big clash against Inter Milan at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Giallorossi appointed the 40-year-old as a replacement for Jose Mourinho who got the sack following a disappointing start of the season.

The returning legend has thus far collected three wins over smaller clubs, but the Nerazzurri will now offer him his first real stern test.

But armed with confidence, De Rossi urges his players to try their best. He insists that they can overcome any challenge, even if it means beating the Serie A leaders.

“With courage, intelligence and knowledge, every team is beatable, even Inter, which is the strongest team in the league,” said the 2006 World Cup winner in his pre-match press conference via FcInter1908.

“The level has been rising since I joined. The concentration level is on the rise too. The methodology of preparing for the match changed.

“Inter are used to having possession and dominate the game. But there are some things that can bother them. They are strong, but we’re a tough team as well.

“Tomorrow we will have to respect our opponents. But we also need a bit of arrogance and bravado.

“If you show too much respect, you become afraid and then you lose.

“There will be times when we will have to suffer tomorrow because they are strong. We have to convince ourselves that we can win because it’s true.

“I will deploy my strongest lineup available and worry about the Europa League later.”

Roma Coach Daniele De Rossi Invites His Players To Believe In Victory Vs Inter Milan

This encounter will be a special one for Romelu Lukaku had had two stints at Inter Milan. The latter ended on a controversial note following an ugly summer soap opera.

Therefore, De Rossi urges his Belgian striker to maintain his composure and keep his emotions in check.

“Romelu will have to separate the emotional aspect from the sporting one. Against Cagliari, he played for the team. I liked his performance.

“He will have to manage his emotions. He is no longer 20 years old.”
