Inter Milan strike pair Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram have now hit thirty goals in Serie A between them after each found the back of the net against Salernitana.

Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, highlight the two strikers’ outstanding season in front of goal.

The scorer of Inter’s first goal in yesterday’s rout of Salernitana was France international Thuram.

The 26-year-old finished off a team move after the Nerazzurri had been applying incessant pressure to the Granata goal from the first whistle.

Then Inter captain Martinez scored his team’s second goal just minutes later. His was more of a solo effort, bent into the far corner from the edge of the box.

Thuram’s goal was his tenth in Serie A alone this season.

The former Borussia Monchengladbach has proven to be a player who can pop up with decisive goals, and on a consistent basis.

And Martinez has scored twice as many. Yesterday’s strike takes the Argentine to twenty in just the league.

Lautaro & Thuram Already On Thirty Goals In Serie A

It is only the middle of February.

Inter have played a total of 24 fixtures in the league so far this season.

But the Nerazzurri have been able to count on their two main men in front of goal to find the back of the net more than once per match between them.

There have of course been goals from other sources, as yesterday’s match attested to.

Denzel Dumfries scored Inter’s third. It was only the latest goal to come from the wingbacks this season.

And Brazilian international Carlos Augusto also assisted both of Thuram and Martinez from the left flank.

Meanwhile, Marko Arnautovic wrapped up the win with a late fourth goal. The Austrian showed that there are signs of life from Inter’s “second string” of attackers.

But there is no doubt who the most consistent source of goals is for Inter.
