Denzel Dumfries will start for Inter Milan against Genoa tomorrow, whilst Davide Frattesi and Francesco Acerbi will be fit to make the bench.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Dumfries has not been a starter for Inter on a regular basis for a couple months now.

The Dutchman has gotten his opportunities, both from the start and from the bench. But his fitness has meant that he has not always been at his best.

However, the past few weeks have seen Dumfries looking close to his best.

The 27-year-old former PSV wingback has made major impacts in matches both from the start and from the bench.

It was as a substitute that Dumfries played against Atalanta on Wednesday. He replaced Matteo Darmian at halftime, playing the entire second half of the Serie A win.

Denzel Dumfries To Start For Inter Vs Genoa – Frattesi & Acerbi On The Bench

Tomorrow when Inter host Genoa at the San Siro, Dumfries will be in the starting eleven.

The Dutchman will start on the right flank, with Darmian dropping to the bench.

Meanwhile, it will be Federico Dimarco starting on the other side of the pitch, at left-wingback.

And then Carlos Augusto will be the player to start on the left of the defense. The versatile former Monza man will take the place of the suspended Alessandro Bastoni in the back three.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta report, there will be a place on the bench for midfielder Frattesi and defender Acerbi.

The former had an injury scare when he had to come off against Atalanta on Wednesday. However, it was not a serious injury, and Frattesi can be available tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Acerbi returns to a matchday for the first time in a month. The 35-year-old had picked up an injury against Roma last month.
