Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu will be back in training tomorrow ahead of Inter Milan’s Serie A match against Bologna.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. Sky also anticipate that Davide Frattesi will be back in training.

Calhanoglu has been out for Inter’s last three matches.

The Turkish international had picked up a thigh strain in the buildup to Inter’s Serie A match against Lecce.

Calhanoglu missed that match. And he also missed subsequent matches against the likes of Atalanta and Genoa.

It was Kristjan Asllani who started in the former AC Milan midfielder’s place.

And the Albanian did well to cover for Calhanoglu. The Nerazzurri won all three matches, whilst Asllani capped off a run of good performances by scoring his first ever goal for Inter against Genoa.

But that does not change the fact that Calhanoglu is a hugely important player for Inter.

And the Nerazzurri will certainly want the 30-year-old back as soon as possible. Particularly with a Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid just on the horizon.

Hakan Calhanoglu To Return To Training Tomorrow Ahead Of Inter Vs Bologna Clash

According to Sky, Calhanoglu will be ready to return to training with his teammates tomorrow.

The Turk has completed his recovery process. He can work with the rest of the squad to gain full match fitness.

That will mean that Calhanoglu should certainly be available for the squad to face Bologna on Saturday.

There are still a couple days of training to go before then.

However, that does not mean that Calhanoglu will start away to the Rossoblu. Rather, it should still be Asllani who starts.

Calhanoglu should instead be ready to come off the bench as a substitute in that match.

That way, the 30-year-old can be at his best to face Atletico Madrid next Wednesday.

And Sky also report that Frattesi did not require any medical tests today. There is confidence about the 24-year-old’s condition despite a couple recent injury scares.
