Inter Milan and AC Milan will make their priority clear in a meeting with the Mayor regarding the future of the San Siro.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper anticipate that the clubs will insist that they be able to play at the stadium during prospective renovations.

Milan Mayor Beppe Sala has scheduled a meeting with representatives from Inter and Milan for the end of this week.

The Mayor will also include representatives of design firm WeBuild in the meeting.

The purpose will be to discuss the status of the Mayor’s plans to renovate the San Siro.

Sala is hoping that by renovating the stadium, he can convince Inter and Milan to stay rather than building new structures.

In this respect, the plans that WeBuild have proposed are crucial.

The construction firm believes that it can add a “fourth tier” to the stadium that can suit the clubs’ needs.

This would allow for more corporate and hospitality seating. That would vitally, mean an increase in revenues.

Inter & AC Milan Make San Siro Priority Clear To Sala

According to Tuttosport, the clubs more or less know what they will demand from Sala in Friday’s meetings.

There is the matter of owning the stadium in the future. Currently, the clubs only rent the stadium from the municipality.

But the big question that is up in the air is whether or not the clubs can keep playing in the San Siro through construction.

Inter and Milan can hardly afford to play in another, smaller stadium during renovations.

And the clubs retain skepticism that WeBuild will be able to carry out construction without disrupting their playing schedule.

So that should be the decisive matter on the agenda in Friday’s meeting.

Inter and Milan will want Sala and WeBuild to convince them on that matter.
