Referee Federico La Penna has been appointed to be in charge of Sunday’s Serie A match between Inter Milan and Napoli.

This is confirmed by the Lega Serie A, via FCInterNews. The league announce all the refereeing crew for the last round of fixtures before the international break. Aleandro Di Paolo will be on VAR.

Inter will play their final league match before the international break on Sunday.

The Nerazzurri will welcome last season’s Italian champions to the San Siro.

Last season, the Partenopei had marched to the Serie A title with a massive margin of victory. Meanwhile, Inter endured a very rocky league campaign.

But this time around, the two teams’ situations are very much reversed.

It is Inter who now enjoy a whopping sixteen-point advantage at the top of the Serie A table.

Napoli, on the other hand, have a lot of catching up to do in their pursuit of a spot in the top four.

The Partenopei have already changed coaches twice this season.

So perhaps on paper, Inter would have to be the favourites. Moreover, they had beaten Napoli 3-0 in the previous meeting at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

But Inter certainly won’t be taking anything for granted.

Napoli remain a formidable side with many quality players, and no shortage of motivation to haul themselves up the table and bounce back from their Champions League elimination with a statement result.

Federico La Penna To Referee Inter Vs Napoli Clash – Di Paolo On VAR

The referee for Sunday’s match will be Federico La Penna.

Assisting La Penna in his duties will be Alessio Berti and Giuseppe Perrotti.

The role of the fourth official, meanwhile, will fall to Ermanno Feliciani.

In the VAR booth, Aleandro Di Paolo will oversee the match to ensure to correct any errors by the on-pitch officials.

Assisting Di Paolo in his duties will be Paolo Valeri.

Inter will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch rather than refereeing controversy.
