Inter Milan had wanted to keep hold of Raoul Bellanova last summer, with the Torino wingback now a target for Chelsea, Man United, Aston Villa, and West Ham United.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

23-year-old Italian international Bellanova is a player who has really started to make good on his talent this season.

Bellanova joined Torino last summer from Cagliari. And he has found the Granata to be the perfect environment in which to develop.

The 23-year-old has played as a wingback on  the right flank of coach Ivan Juric’s system.

And it is from that position that Bellanova has delivered five assists in Serie A this season, in addition to scoring a goal for himself.

Bellanova has looked to be the Granata’s most potent outlet in many matches, with his explosive pace.

And this form has earned Bellanova a place in the Italy squad.

The 23-year-old started against Ecuador in a recent friendly match. And he will almost certainly be with the Azzurri for the Euros.

Inter Wanted To Keep Raoul Bellanova – Now A Target For Chelsea, Man United, Villa, West Ham

Bellanova had been at Inter last season.

The Italian joined the Nerazzurri on a season-long-loan from Cagliari.

Bellanova was not a regular starter for Inter last season as he has been for Torino this time around.

There were a few chances for the wingback to shine. But he was well behind the likes of Denzel Dumfries and Matteo Darmian in the pecking order.

Inter had the chance to make Bellanova’s loan into a permanent deal by paying a 7 million for to Cagliari last summer.

But the Nerazzurri declined to exercise this purchase option.

That opened the door for Torino to move in and sign Bellanova.

However, Tuttosport note, this does not mean that Inter had not wanted to keep hold of Bellanova. On the contrary, the Nerazzurri tried to negotiate a lower fee or another loan.

But in the end, Torino made a higher offer and signed Bellanova.

Now, Tuttosport note, Bellanova’s value has risen to 20-25 million off the back of the season he’s had with Torino.

And there is now transfer interest in Bellanova from the Premier League.

All of Chelsea, Manchester United, Aston Villa, and West Ham United consider the 23-year-old to be a target.
