Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram is reportedly on the PSG shortlist as they seek a replacement for the departing Kylian Mbappé.
The French superstar will famously leave the Ligue 1 champions at the end of the season once his contract expires. The 25-year-old’s most likely next destination will be Real Madrid.
This will deprive Paris Saint-Germain of their main star and talisman. Thus, the French giants will be looking to reinforce their attacking department this summer.
According to Tuttosport via FcInterNews, the Parisians have identified Thuram as the right profile for the role.
The Turin-based newspaper believes PSG prefer the Nerazzurri striker to Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
Inter only signed Thuram last summer on a free transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach.
At the moment, the Serie A leaders don’t intend to sell the France international. They would rather fund their transfer campaign by selling Denzel Dumfries and some of their youngsters.
PSG Consider Inter Milan Striker Marcus Thuram As Potential Replacement For Kylian Mbappé
The management would only be able to buy players this summer by raising funds from their sales.
However, Thuram’s sale could generate 80 million euros of pure capital gains. This would allow Inter to sign Genoa striker Albert Gudmundsson and Torino defender Alessandro Buongiorno. Both players are valued at circa 40M.
The Nerazzurri could try to lower the figures by inserting the likes of Mattia Zanotti, Francesco Pio Esposito and Martin Satriano, rather than selling Thuram.
So we shall see if the Italian giants would be able to resist an onslaught from the French capital.
This season, Thuram has contributed with 12 goals and as many assists in 40 appearances across all competitions. His contract with the club runs until 2028.
