Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco has reportedly overcome his physical issue and will make himself available for the weekend encounter against Sassuolo.

The Nerazzurri will travel to Emilia-Romagna this weekend to take on the struggling Neroverdi at the Mapei Stadium.

Simone Inzaghi’s men have already secured the Serie A title with a win over crosstown rivals AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina.

But despite this historic achievement, Inter are still eager to collect positive results, as evidenced by last weekend’s win over Torino.

This week, the Nerazzurri are preparing for an away contest pitting them against Sassuolo who lie 19th in the table.

The Emilians are curiously the only club to have beaten Inter in Serie A this season. Therefore, the new Italian champions will be seeking vengeance on Saturday night.

According to FcInterNews, Inzaghi has received a boost in the shape of Dimarco’s return to full training.

The 26-year-old has been dealing with a slight calf strain. Hence why he remained on the bench for the entire match against Torino last weekend.

The Italian was training separately over the past few days, but has now rejoined his teammates in group training.

Therefore, the source tips him to make a swift return to action this weekend. It remains to be seen if he’ll earn a starting berth or start on the bench.

The Nerazzurri youth product has been an integral member of the starting lineup this season. New arrivals Carlos Augusto and Tajon Buchanan haven’t been able to displace him.

He has impressively contributed with six goals and eight assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.

Dimarco extended his contract with the club earlier this season, pushing back the deadline date to 2027.
