Oaktree have decided to boost the status of Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi at the club. Thus, they will award the tactician with a new deal and three market coups.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, the club’s new owners have immediately recognized the manager’s importance to the cause.

Therefore, they have now further confirmed his position at the very center of the club’s project.

This will be materialized through a new deal that the management had drafted even prior to Oaktree’s takeover.

The new deal would see the Piacenza native earn around 6.5 million euros per season.

Following the departures of Max Allegri and Jose Mourinho, this could make Inzaghi the highest-paid coach in Serie A. That is unless Napoli reach an agreement with Antonio Conte, which could see the latter collect 8M per year according to reports in the Italian media.

Moreover, Oaktree will appease Inzaghi by bolstering three positions in his squad. That is in addition to Piotr Zielinski and Mehdi Taremi who will sign as free agents in July.

Oaktree To Consolidate Simone Inzaghi Position At Inter Milan

The Nerazzurri will likely bid farewell to Juan Cuadrado, Stefano Sensi, Alexis Sanchez, Emil Audero and Davy Klaassen at the end of the season.

Therefore, Inzaghi has reportedly requested a fifth striker, a young defender and a new back-up goalkeeper.

For the latter role, Athletico Paranaense’s Bento is the ultimate choice for the role.

In attack, the Nerazzurri could consider bringing back Andrea Pinamonti following Sassuolo’s relegation. The Italian could be useful for the UEFA list thanks to his status as an Inter youth product.

In this case, Marko Arnautovic could also make way, in addition to Joaquin Correa who returns from a disappointing loan spell at Marseille.
