The Agent of Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez confirms they have found an agreement in principle with the club over a new contract.

The Argentine’s extension talks have been the hottest topic at the club in recent days.

While the negotiations between the two parties appeared to be on the cusp of faltering due to the agent’s hefty demands, the player himself decided to intervene in the last hours.

Martinez reportedly instructed his agent Alejandro Camano to drop his extravagant demands and accept the club’s improved offer.

The management has reportedly satisfied the captain by offering him a net salary of 9 million euros plus 2M in bonuses.

Moreover, Camano himself has now confirmed the agreement according to Argentine journalist Cesar Luis Merlo.

“We have reached an agreement in principle,” said Lautaro’s agent when commenting on contract talks with the Nerazzurri.

The journalist thus expects the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner to pen a new deal that will be valid until 2029.

Lautaro has been plying his trade at the club since 2018. His current deal runs until June 2026
