Arsenal Coach Heaps Praise On Inter Milan Manager: “Achieved Extraordinary Feats”

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta lauded his Inter Milan counterpart Simone Inzaghi for what he described as an extraordinary job.

The Spaniard attended the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony which was held in Cala di Volpe in Sardinia.

Despite finishing second the in table behind Man City, the organizers named him the best coach in the Premier League.

The 42-year-old was full of praise when discussing Serie A.

“I really like Serie A for its high-level and highly experienced coaches,” said Arteta in his interview with Sky Sport Italia via FcInter1908.

The Gunners boss also heaped praise on Inzaghi’s work at Inter Milan.

The Nerazzurri reached the final of the Champions League last term, and won the Serie A title by a landslide this season.

“What Inter have done in recent seasons is nothing short of extraordinary.”

Arteta also revealed himself as a fan of AC Milan’s project, giving credit to their departing coach Stefano Pioli.

“I really like Milan’s project. They are building on talented youngsters. Pioli made the club take a big step forward.”

Finally, the Arsenal manager talked about his bond with Thiago Motta which dates back to their time together at Barcelona’s famous academy, La Masia.

“Just like Thiago Motta, I like to build on young players. I’ve known him since we were 15 because we both played at La Masia.

“I enjoyed the way his Bologna played this season.”

Motta has already parted ways with Bologna after guiding the club towards a historic Champions League qualification.

According to all accounts, the 41-year-old will soon become the new Juventus manager, thus inhering Max Allegri’s post.
