Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento is urging caution about his future amid transfer links to Inter Milan this summer.

Speaking with the Brazilian national team, via FCInter1908, the 24-year-old stressed that for now there is “just speculation” as he has not yet made a decision about his future.

Goalkeeper Bento looks to be a player who could be on the move this summer.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding couple of seasons with Athletico Paranaense.

This has seen Bento become part of the Brazilian national team picture. He made his debut in a friendly against England, and will be part of the Selecao squad for the upcoming Copa America.

Meanwhile, Bento’s form has also seen transfer interest in him arise.

It is looking as though a move to a big club in Europe is not far on the horizon for the Brazilian.

The strongest links for Bento have been to Inter. The Nerazzurri reportedly see the 24-year-old as the ideal candidate to replace Yann Sommer in the long term.

Reportedly, Inter’s plan is to sign Bento as a backup to Sommer for a season or two.

Then, the Brazilian would be the player who Inter earmark to inherit the Swiss’s starting shirt.

Bento Urges Caution Amid Inter Milan Links: “Nothing Decided Yet”

It won’t be easy for Inter to sign Bento, however.

Athletico will be expecting a significant fee to sell their goalkeeper. And there are other clubs in the frame for Bento’s signature as well.

And the player himself gave his thoughts on the transfer rumours.

“Nothing has been decided yet,” Bento said of his future.

“For now there’s just speculation.”

“I just have to thank Athletico,” Bento continued. “It’s the club that I love.”

“Now I’m going to be with the national team,” the Brazilian added.

“I hope that I can give the team a hand and do my best.”
