Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi is hoping that he can be “decisive” with Italy at EURO 2024 this summer.

The 24-year-old spoke to the Cronache di Spogliatoio, via FCInterNews, ahead of the tournament in Germany.

This summer, Frattesi will be in action with the Italian national team at the Euros.

The Azzurri begin their tournament against Albania in less than two weeks.

Italy go into this summer’s tournament as the holders. They won the 2021 edition of the tournament.

The likes of Nicolo Barella and Alessandro Bastoni were part of the Italy team that won three years ago.

Frattesi, on the other hand.

But the former Sassuolo midfielder will certainly have his role to play this time around.

Frattesi has a regular place for Italy, both as a starter and as a substitute.

Frattesi has also made a habit of popping up with goals for the national team.

Just as he has often scored big goals for Inter and for Sassuolo, the 24-year-old has also shown his cutting edge in the final third on plenty of occasions for the Azzurri.

Asked if he thinks that he can once again score plenty of goals for Italy, Frattesi replied “Let’s hope so.”

“Clearly, it’s always difficult with the national team” he continued.

“But we always have to try to do better. To try and improve on what we’ve already done.”

As far as the difference playing for Italy and Inter, Frattesi said that “Playing with a single Inter, we as midfielders will have to attack the spaces more than what we do in a different formation.”

“So that could certainly be an extra key here,” he added.

Meanwhile, Frattesi also named his favourites to win the Euros. “France,” he said. “Because they’re really, really strong.”
