Newly-promoted Serie A side Parma are keen to sign Inter Milan forward Alexis Sanchez this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Parma-based newspaper Gazzetta di Parma, via FCInterNews. The newspaper further note that reaching an agreement with the Chilean on wages will not be easy.

Sanchez has now played his last match for Inter.

The 35-year-old only re-joined the Nerazzurri on a one-year deal when he made the surprise return from Marseille last summer.

And Sanchez will leave the San Siro via the same route that he came. A free transfer when his contract expires.

And that will come in less than a month. Sanchez’s deal runs until the end of the current month.

That means that the former Arsenal, Manchester United, and Barcelona veteran will be free to choose his next club.

And there is no shortage of interest in Sanchez’s signature.

From teams in South America and Turkey to European sides like Real Betis, the Chilean has suitors in various different leagues.

But it could be possible that, while Sanchez leaves Inter, he still remains in Serie A.

Parma Keen To Sign Inter Forward Alexis Sanchez

According to the Corriere di Parma, Sanchez has emerged as a target for newly-promoted Parma.

The Gialloblu will be back in Serie A this coming season. They won promotion to the top flight as the champions of Serie B in the season just gone.

And the Emilian side will naturally be looking to make reinforcements for the step up.

According to the Corriere di Parma, Sanchez is one target in this respect.

The 35-year-old would certainly bring vast top flight experience, and undoubted technical quality.

And Sanchez would certainly be available, given that there would be no need for a transfer fee.

The Corriere di Parma report that Parma have already made contact with Sanchez’s representatives about a a possible transfer.

However, there would be one major stumbling block. Sanchez’s wage demands would be considerably higher than Parma are hoping to outlay.
