Fiorentina are weighing up a move to sign Inter Milan striker Marko Arnautovic.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Sky transfer expert reports on his homepage that the 35-year-old is among La Viola’s targets to strengthen in attack.

Arnautovic joined Inter from Bologna last summer.

The Austrian international arrived on a two-year deal. He was an attacking reinforcement in the wake of the departure of Edin Dzeko and the Nerazzurri’s failure to bring Romelu Lukaku back.

In his first season at Inter, Arnautovic has scored a total of seven goals and made three assists.

Among these was a goal in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid.

Subsequently, Arnautovic has not been a regular starter for Inter across his first season at the club.

But this is little surprise – the former Stoke City and West Ham United striker was brought in mainly to strengthen the depth.

At the moment, Arnautovic is under contract with Inter for one more season. His contract runs out at the end of next June.

Fiorentina Weighing Up Move For Inter Striker Marko Arnautovic

According to Di Marzio, Arnautovic has come onto the radar of Fiorentina.

The Tuscan clubs have just changed coaches, from Vincenzo Italiano to Raffaele Palladino.

And therefore, according to Di Marzio, one of the priorities for the summer transfer window will be to sign  new striker.

35-year-old Inter striker Arnautovic is one player who La Viola are considering as a target, reports Di Marzio.

He reports that Fiorentina had already made some inquiries about the Austrian during the January transfer window.

And Palladino would endorse a bid for Arnautovic this summer.

As things stand, Inter would likely allow Arnautovic to leave.

However, the Nerazzurri would expect an offer of a certain size if they are to sell the Austrian international.

As for the player himself, by all indications Arnautovic is currently happy at Inter.

However, the 35-year-old could always consider offers from other clubs, particularly if he could be guaranteed more playing time.
