Inter Milan could already hold the decisive contract extension talks with coach Simone Inzaghi tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

There is no doubt that Inter want to keep their current coach in place for the foreseeable future.

While there have been ups and downs during the former Lazio boss’s tenure on the bench, the trajectory has certainly been upwards. Inter won the Serie A title during the season just gone.

At the moment, Inzaghi’s contract with Inter runs until the end of next June.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri will aim to extend the 48-year-old’s deal.

And despite it normally being the policy of Inter CEO Beppe Marotta to only hand one-year bumper deals to coaches, the club are ready to offer Inzaghi a two-year extension.

The Nerazzurri are willing to extend Inzaghi’s deal until the end of June 2027.

And for his part, Inzaghi is not thinking about anything besides staying at Inter. The coach feels that his work at the club is far from over.

Inter Milan Could Hold Decisive Simone Inzaghi Contract Talks Tomorrow

Today was a hugely important day for the future of Inter.

The Nerazzurri held a shareholders meeting. This saw new owners Oaktree Capital install a new board of directors, with CEO of Sport Beppe Marotta also becoming club President.

With an executive structure now in place, Inter can start getting down to the business of running the club.

Key among the priorities for the coming weeks – or even days – will be new contracts for key players. As well as for coach Inzaghi.

Tuttosport anticipate that Inter aren’t going to wait around.

The Nerazzurri want to make a new deal for Inzaghi official very soon.

According to Tuttosport, Inter could meet with Inzaghi’s agent as early as tomorrow. That would be the meeting in which they would hope to finalize the agreement on a new deal for the 48-year-old.
