Beppe Marotta is confident that Inter Milan will be wrapping up some key contract extensions in the near future.

The newly-appointed Nerazzurri President spoke to reporters, via FCInterNews. He expressed the view that new club owners Oaktree Capital are a “guarantee.”

Now, Marotta is the new President of Inter.

The 67-year-old has already been the Nerazzurri’s CEO of Sport for over five years. And he retains that position, as the architect of the club’s transfer strategy.

But Marotta has now assumed an even more prominent position within the club.

And the former Juventus and Sampdoria executive will surely be keen to get to work on the plans to keep the club moving in the positive direction that it already has been.

One of the most important matters in this regard is a few key contract extensions.

Signing new players is all well and good. But for Inter in their current positions, that task arguably pales in comparison to consolidating the spine of the team that they already have.

Reports indicate that Inter are working on new contracts for all of coach Simone Inzaghi, captain and striker Lautaro Martinez, and midfielder Nicolo Barella.

Beppe Marotta Promises New Inter Milan Contract Extensions Soon

Of the contract extension negotiations, Marotta said that “We’re ready to move forward, with the agreement of the owners.”

“I believe there won’t be any problems,” he continued. “Because these players and the coach have a strong sense of belonging here.”

“That’s an advantage compared to other negotiations,” the new Inter President observed.

“Today, we have to guarantee sustainability.”

“That also has to do with revenues,” Marotta noted.

The new President argued that “Inter have a wealth of resources, And we have to do well and take full advantage of them.”

“That can guarantee us revenues, which can strengthen the sporting side of things.”

Marotta argued that “Sustainability is a word that we take into great consideration.”

As far as his being named President of Inter, Marotta said “Thanks to everyone who works with me.”

“And to Oaktree, for this unexpected act of trust. I’m grateful for this opportunity, and then to start working as I’ve already done. Now, in collaboration with the new owners.”

Marotta added that Oaktree “guarantee us sustainability and competitiveness.”
