Inter Milan and Venezia are working on finalizing the final details on a move of US international midfielder Tanner Tessmann.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, via FCInterNews.

22-year-old US international Tessmann has emerged as one of Inter’s surprise targets during the transfer window.

Reportedly, the Nerazzurri are eyeing Tessmann up as a possible midfield reinforcement.

Tessmann certainly would not be a player who Inter sign for the immediate future.

The Nerazzurri already have a well-stocked midfield, with all of Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Kristjan Asllani, Davide Frattesi, and Piotr Zielinski options.

However, Inter are certainly keeping one eye on the future in addition to the present.

Particularly under the ownership of Oaktree Capital, the Nerazzurri reportedly want to focus on young players as the base of their project.

And part of that idea means signing players in the present for the future.

For example, Inter reportedly want to sign Sampdoria defender Giovanni Leoni this summer. And then they would loan the teenager back to the Blucerchiati.

Reports suggest that Inter are aiming with something similar regarding Venezia midfielder Tessmann.

Inter & Venezia Working On Finalizing Tanner Tessmann Deal

Inter registered their interest in Tessmann last month, according to reports.

And since then, the Nerazzurri have been in talks with the Lagunari.

According to Di Marzio, there is not much left.

The two clubs are working out the final details on Tessmann’s transfer.

The US international is currently gearing up for the Olympics with the US men’s team.

Therefore, there may be a bit of a wait before Tessmann can undergo his medicals and sign his contract to officially become an Inter player.

However, on the clubs’ end, thinks are close to done. Inter will soon have an agreement with Venezia to sign Tessmann this summer.
