Genoa CEO Andres Blazquez says there have been no official offers for Albert Gudmundsson despite links to Inter Milan and Fiorentina.

Speaking to Win Win, via FCInter1908, the Grifone executive also said that there was interest in new Inter goalkeeper Josep Martinez from Serie A and the Premier League this summer.

This summer, Gudmundsson is one of the big names at the centre of transfer rumours in Serie A.

It is no secret why. The Icelandic international bagged fourteen goals and seven assists last season in a standout campaign for Genoa.

Inter have been the team with the strongest interest in signing Gudmundsson according to reports.

The Nerazzurri see the 26-year-old former AZ Alkmaar forward as having the ideal profile to complete their attack.

But it’s not just Inter. Fiorentina are also reportedly keen to revive their chase.

Meanwhile, the likes of Roma, Napoli, and Juventus are reportedly all also targeting Gudmundsson.

And from the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur have shown an interest.

Genoa CEO: “No Offers” For Inter Target Albert Gudmundsson

Genoa CEO Blazquez said of Gudmundsson that “A number of clubs have contacted us about him.”

“But at the moment, there have been no official offers,” the executive said.

“There are several clubs interested. We already rejected an offer from Fiorentina for around 30 million.”

“Not because it wasn’t a good offer but because it came in January and we needed to keep up the fight to finish in the top half of the table.”

“Keeping hold of him was essential for that goal,” Blazquez said.

Meanwhile, Blazquez also spoke about new Inter keeper Martinez. The Spaniard joins the Nerazzurri after two seasons at Genoa.

“We’re in advanced talks with Inter,” he said. “Hopefully, by the time this interview is published he’ll have already become an Inter player.”

“We also registered interest from the Premier League in him,” Blazquez added. “And from other Italian clubs.”
