Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi turned down a monster money offer from Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr earlier this year.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, via FCInter1908. He revealed the background of the Saudi club’s 20 million net per season offer to the 48-year-old.

Over the last twelve months, the big clubs from the Saudi Pro League have caught the eye with lavish spending.

This has largely entailed bringing in high profile players from European leagues.

The likes of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Marcelo Brozovic, Ngolo Kante, Karim Benzema, and Ruben Neves among numerous others have all left European clubs for Saudi teams.

In most of these cases, there have been significant transfer fees outlayed by the Saudi teams.

And even more than the transfer fees, teams from the Saudi top flight have offered massive wage deals in order to convince players to leave European football and join.

Revealed – Inter Milan Coach Simone Inzaghi Rejected Mega Money Al Nassr Offer

Recently, Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad attempted to bring in former AC Milan, Inter, and Lazio coach Stefano Pioli.

Reportedly, there were advanced negotiations between the Saudi giants and the veteran coach.

However, the talks failed in the end. Pioli will not be coaching in the gulf state next season.

And as Pedulla reveals, Pioli is far from the only big name Italian coach that a team from Saudi Arabia have attempted to lure from Serie A.

The SportItalia transfer expert reports that Al Nassr had made an approach to Inter coach Inzaghi.

The Saudi club sounded out the former Lazio boss’s interest. And they made clear that they would be willing to offer him wages several times higher than he earns at Inter.

Pedulla reports that the offer on the table was around 20 million net per season.

However, the SportItalia transfer expert reports, Inzaghi declined the bid from Al Nassr.

The Inter coach feels that there is still work left for him to do in his project at the Nerazzurri.
