Hellas Verona are reportedly open to parting ways with their left-back Juan Cabal who has emerged as a transfer target for Inter Milan in recent hours.

The Nerazzurri are searching the market for a new left-footed defender after losing Tajon Buchanan to injury.

The Canadian hurt himself while on international duty and could be out for five months.

Therefore, the Italian champions need a replacement, but not necessarily a direct one. That’s because Carlos Augusto can return to his natural role as left wingback, which would leave a gap at the back.

Nevertheless, Cabal is capable of playing at wingback and centre-back in Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 tactical system. Hence, he would offer the Inter coach more choices across the left flank.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport via FcInterNews, Verona are willing to listen to offers for the 23-year-old.

The Gialloblu signed the Colombian from Atletico Nacional for just 800,000 euros two years ago. Therefore, the Venetians are ready to cash in on their fullback and register a comprehensive capital gain.

Hellas Verona Willing To Discuss Juan Cabal Move With Inter Milan

Moreover, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reveals that Cabal’s price tag is 10 million euros.

The transfer market guru believes the Colombian is one of four or five names on Inter’s shortlist to bolster the backline.

Inter owners Oaktree Capital would be in favor of the move as they would like to add young profiles to the squad. Thus, they would prefer him over the likes of Mario Hermoso and Ricardo Rodriguez.

As we reported yesterday, the club’s sporting director Piero Ausilio held a meeting with Cabal’s agents on Thursday.

The fullback’s contract with Verona is valid until the summer of 2027.
