A report in the Italian press reveals how much Inter Milan and the other top Serie A clubs can collect from their players’ participation in EURO 2024.

As Calcio e Finanza (via FcInterNews) explains, UEFA created the “Club Benefits Programme” to remunerate the clubs who lose their players’ services while taking part in the continental tournament.

The governmental body of European football will thus distribute the cash to the clubs. This depends on their status and the length of each player’s participation in the competition.

Serie A clubs are in Category 1. Hence, they will receive 10,000 euros per day for each player.

With 13 representatives in the tournament, Inter will earn the highest figure among Serie A clubs.

The source expects the Nerazzurri to receive a figure just below 3.7 million euros.

The Italian champions won’t have a representative in the final, but they had four players eliminated in the semi-final. These are France’s Marcus Thuram and Benjamin Pavard, as well as the Dutch duo of Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij.

Inter Milan To Earn €3.5 Million From Their Players’ EURO 2024 Participation

Surprisingly, Bologna land in second place with as they look to collect almost 2.5 million. The new Champions League boys had three representatives in the Swiss team that reached the quarter-finals among others.

In third place, AC Milan will earn 2.4 million euros. Curiously, the Rossoneri had less players in the tournament than Juventus, but still managed to collect a bigger figure than the Bianconeri (2.24 million).

That’s because Milan’s players enjoyed more success in the tournament, especially Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan.

AS Roma are also in the Top 5, landing fourth just above Juventus with a figure of 2.28 million euros.
