Inter Milan and Hellas Verona are reportedly negotiating a deal for Juan Cabal, and their talks could also include the young Issiaka Kamate.
Over the past few weeks, the Nerazzurri have been exploring their options on the market as they look to sign a new defender.
As Inter coach Simone Inzaghi explained during his press conference this afternoon, the club needs a left-footed defender. This is mainly due to Tajon Buchanan’s injury which could keep him out for five months.
While some reports have identified Mario Hermoso as the favorite target, Cabal has recently emerged on the scene.
The 23-year-old has been developing his game at Verona since joining the club in 2022.
The Colombian is originally a left-back, but can play either as a wingback or left centre-back in a three-man backline.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter continue to negotiate a deal with Verona for Cabal.
The Gialloblu reportedly value their fullback at around 10 million euros. His contract is valid until June 2027.
Inter Milan Youngster Issiaka Kamate Could Join Hellas Verona As Part Of Juan Cabal Operation
The transfer market guru also reveals that Kamate could also be involved in the operation if the Cabal deal goes through.
The 19-year-old is a French winger of Ivorian heritage. He’s been sharpening his weapons at Inter since making the move from Montfermeil in 2020.
The Frenchman currently features for the Nerazzurri’s U19 side, but has attracted the interest of the Venetian club.
So if Cabal ends up joining the Nerazzurri, Kamate could well be heading in the opposite direction as a makeweight.
