Inter Milan will only sell attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni for an offer of at least €40 million this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The outlet report that, otherwise, the Nerazzurri will likely loan the Argentine out again.

Carboni’s future looks to be one of the major matters that Inter have yet to settle this summer transfer window.

Last time around, the Argentine joined Monza on loan.

Last season was a positive one for Carboni. The teenage attacking midfielder worked his way into the Brianzoli starting eleven over the course of the campaign.

Now, with a season of regular football at senior level under his belt. Carboni is back at Inter.

And the 19-year-old has also been part of the Argentina squad at the Copa America.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi hinted in remarks during a press conference yesterday that Carboni could very well play a role in Inter’s squad next season.

However, the Corriere report, that is not very likely. The 19-year-old would find little playing time at Inter next campaign – a vital aspect at this stage of his career.

Inter Milan Will Only Sell Valentin Carboni For 40M+

Therefore, another move away looks likely for Carboni this summer.

The big question is whether this would be another loan, or a permanent transfer.

Several clubs have shown an interest in signing Carboni on a permanent deal this summer.

Marseille have been the team to push the most for the Argentine in the last week or two. But all of Fiorentina, Atalanta, and Lazio have also reportedly considered trying to sign him outright.

However, the Corriere report, any team that wishes to buy Carboni will have to expect to pay a big price tag.

The newspaper anticipate that Inter won’t let the teenager leave for less than 40 million.

Therefore, if an offer of that size does not come in, Inter will loan Carboni out again.
