Alex Perez is set to undergo his medicals today ahead of a move to Inter Milan from Real Betis.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper anticipate that the teenage defender will complete his loan transfer today.

Inter have been working to try and sign Perez for a few weeks now.

The Spaniard is only eighteen years of age, and has yet to make a senior appearance for Betis.

However, Inter have marked Perez out as a player for the future.

The Nerazzurri’s plan would be to have Perez play for their Primavera or Under-19 side initially. Then, there would be a pathway into the first team over the coming few years.

Naturally, time would be on Perez’s side in this sense.

Inter’s plan has been to sign Perez on an initial season-long loan deal, effectively trialling him in their youth team setup. Then there would be a purchase option to make the loan deal permanent.
