New Inter Milan signing Piotr Zielinski has finally arrived at Appiano Gentile to join his new teammates in the club’s pre-season preparations.

The 30-year-old had already agreed to join the Nerazzurri several months ago.

But the Italian champions had to wait for the player’s contract with Napoli to expire before announcing the transfer last week.

The midfielder was a member of the Polish national team that participated in EURO 2024. Therefore, the club granted him a few weeks of rest before placing his services at Simone Inzaghi’s disposal.

So on Thursday morning, Zielinski underwent the final part of his medical tests. Then he headed to the Olympic Committee’s headquarters to register his contract with the Nerazzurri.

Afterwards, he arrived at Inter’s training center to kickstart his new adventure.

As FcInterNews tells it, the former Udinese man arrived at Appiano Gentile in a positive mood and with a smile on his face.

He immediately joined his teammates in what was his first training session as an Inter player.

Zielinski spent eight years at Napoli where he established himself as a key figure in the middle of the park.

The Poland international is now coming off a difficult campaign. The Partenopei endured a great demise following their Scudetto triumph in 2022/23.

So while his former teammates will be looking to rebound under the guidance of Antonio Conte, Zielinski is aiming to deliver the goods at San Siro.

However, carving himself a regular spot in the starting lineup won’t be an easy task. After all, Inzaghi remains very fond of the midfield trio of Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
