Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been staying at Inter Milan’s preseason training camp 24/7, with Piotr Zielinski and Mehdi Taremi following his lead.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews.

Inter’s preseason preparations are now well underway.

The Nerazzurri’s squad has been working under the direction of coach Simone Inzaghi since last weekend.

There is still far from a full complement of Inter players at the disposal of the coach, however.

At the moment, a big chunk of the players in the Nerazzurri’s squad are still on vacation following international at the Euros and the Copa America.

They will, however, be filtering back in over the next few weeks. The latest arrivals will be Lautaro Martinez and Valentin Carboni, who won the Copa with Argentina.

In the meantime, former Napoli midfielder Zielinski has signed his contract and joined up with the squad in preseason. Albanian international Kristjan Asllani has also returned to the squad.

Mkhitaryan In Inter Preseason Training 24/7 – Zielinski & Taremi Follow His Lead

One of the players who has been in Inter’s preseason training camp since last Saturday is midfielder Mkhitaryan.

The 35-year-old former Roma and Arsenal midfielder has retired from international duty with Armenia to focus on his club career.

This reflects a desire of the veteran midfielder to prolong his career at the highest level.

Mkhitaryan may be in his mid-thirties now. But his stamina and fitness levels have remained exemplary, as last season he was virtually the most ubiquitous outfield player in Inter’s starting eleven.

It is therefore hardly a surprise to see Mkhitaryan joining the preseason training camp at the earliest possible opportunity.

Moreover, Mediaset report, Mkhitaryan is also sleeping at Inter’s training ground.

The Armenian is trying to make the most he possibly can of the preseason period.

And it’s not just Mkhitaryan, reports Mediaset.

The broadcaster also note that Zielinski and his fellow new signing Mehdi Taremi have also been sleeping at Inter’s training ground.
