Inter Milan have pulled out of the race to sign Venezia midfielder Tanner Tessmann, with Torino looking to move in.

This according to today’s print edition of Venice-based newspaper La Nuova Venezia, via FCInterNews.

Inter have been in talks to sign Tessmann from Venezia for over a month now.

The 22-year-old emerged as a surprise name in the Nerazzurri’s summer transfer shortlist.

And as far as an agreement with Venezia goes, Inter seem to have everything in hand. They have been discussing a transfer of Tessmann for several weeks now.

Venezia’s Sporting Director even confirmed that the newly-promoted club have “closed the deal” for Tessmann.

So negotiations with Venezia have not been a problem for Inter.

But what has proven to be an issue has been the negotiations on the player’s side.

Inter Out Of The Race For Tanner Tessmann – Torino Moving In

Reports indicate that, even though Inter more or less have an agreement with Venezia in hand, they have struggled to agree personal terms with Tessmann.

Part of the reason for this has been financial.

The 22-year-old and his representatives have been asking for more than Inter are willing to offer in terms of wages as well as agent commissions.

Then there is the matter of where Inter would send Tessmann out on loan.

Reports indicate that there has been some friction in the discussions on the future pathway for the US international if he is to join Inter.

According to La Nuova Venezia, Inter have now definitively stopped negotiations for Tessmann.

There would be no chance of the Nerazzurri signing the US international.

That leaves open the question of which club will take advantage and try to move for Tessmann.

And according to La Nuova Venezia it is Torino who are gearing up to make their move for the 22-year-old.
