Simone Inzaghi has been sleeping at the training centre for Inter Milan’s preseason preparations, working until late in the evening.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper also reports that Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Mehdi Taremi, and Piotr Zielinski have followed the coach’s lead.
Inter’s preseason preparations are now well underway.
The Nerazzurri’s squad has been working under the direction of coach Simone Inzaghi since last weekend.
There is still far from a full complement of Inter players at the disposal of the coach, however.
At the moment, a big chunk of the players in the Nerazzurri’s squad are still on vacation following international at the Euros and the Copa America.
They will, however, be filtering back in over the next few weeks. The latest arrivals will be Lautaro Martinez and Valentin Carboni, who won the Copa with Argentina.
In the meantime, former Napoli midfielder Zielinski has signed his contract and joined up with the squad in preseason. Albanian international Kristjan Asllani has also returned to the squad.
And Zielinski joins two other new signings in training. Striker Mehdi Taremi and goalkeeper Josep Martinez have been in the training camp from day one.

At this point, Inter coach Inzaghi is looking to take absolute full advantage of the preseason.
The Gazzetta report that the 48-year-old former Lazio coach is working with his coaching staff to put together the following day’s training schedule long after each day’s session as ended.
Inzaghi is working until eleven in the evening or later with his staff.
And then the coach is not returning home. He is staying at the training centre so he can get an early start the following day.
And it is not just Inzaghi.
Veteran midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is also sleeping at the training centre.
The same is true of summer signings Taremi and Zielinski.
