Giovanni Lo Celso has been offered to Lazio, whilst Inter Milan and Napoli would be unlikely destinations for the Argentine.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews.

Lo Celso looks to be a player who will leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The 28-year-old has been with the North London club since the summer of 2019. He joined from Real Betis, having previously played for the likes of Paris Saint-Germain.

During his time at Spurs, however, Lo Celso has struggled to really make his mark.

The Argentine has had two loan spells with Villarreal.

These proved to be fairly successful. As he had with Real Betis, Lo Celso enjoyed regular playing time back in La Liga.

In fact, Lo Celso was a regular starter on the way to Villarreal reaching the semifinal stage of the Champions League under Unai Emery.

However, Villarreal did not sign Lo Celso permanently. Therefore, he returned to Spurs last summer.

Giovanni Lo Celso Offered To Lazio – Inter & Napoli Unlikely Destinations

Last season, Lo Celso was part of the Tottenham first team under former Celtic coach Ange Postecoglu.

However, the Argentine did not feature regularly.

Given this relative lack of playing time, it is little surprise that Lo Celso is not considered to be a part of the plans for next season at Spurs.

As such, the Premier League side are looking to offload the Argentine.

Lo Celso’s representatives have been looking into Serie A as a potential destination for the 28-year-old.

La Repubblica report that agents offered Lo Celso to Lazio.

However, the Biancocelesti are cool on the idea of signing the Argentine. Particularly in view of his high wages.

Meanwhile, La Repubblica report, there would be little chance of Lo Celso making the move to either Inter or Napoli within Serie A.

The Nerazzurri and the Partenopei do not really play with a midfielder of Lo Celso’s profile under their respective coaches Simone Inzaghi and Antonio Conte.
