Netherlands striker Memphis Depay has reportedly been offered to Inter Milan who are currently reflecting on the matter.

The 30-year-old has had a career filled with highs and lows. He first rose onto the scene as a young and promising striker at PSV Eindhoven, sparking a big-money move to Manchester United in 2018.

Following a forgettable spell at Old Trafford, the Dutchman enjoyed a prolific stint at Lyon. However, he failed to leave a positive mark at Barcelona.

The experienced attacker spent the previous campaign at Atletico Madrid, but couldn’t carve himself a starting role.

After rescinding his contract with the Spanish capital side, he now finds himself on the free agent market.

So according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, the player’s agent has offered his services to Inter president Beppe Marotta.

However, the two parties have yet to find common ground.

As the source explains, the Netherlands international is seeking a net salary of 5 million euros. That is without mentioning his agent’s commission.

Nevertheless, the pink newspaper believes we shouldn’t completely rule out his possibility.

The Italian champions are reportedly reflecting on this option, even though their priority lies elsewhere.

Inter Milan Reflecting On Memphis Depay

GdS insists that the Nerazzurri still consider Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson as their main transfer target to bolster the frontline.

The Iceland international has other suitors in the shape of Stuttgart and Bournemouth. But as the source tells it, he prefers to remain in Italy, thus giving Inter the upper hand.

Yet, Inter haven’t been able to find an accord with Genoa till now. Moreover, Gudmundsson’s trial in Iceland remains a concerning issue for the Beneamata. The 27-year-old was charged with sexual assault.

Finally, the same source reveals that Inter also inquired about Domenico Berardi over the past few weeks. However, they eventually considered the Sassuolo hero inapt to Simone Inzaghi’s tactical system, not to mention his long-term injury.
