Inter Milan are reportedly keeping tabs on Nantes teenager Nathan Zeze, but they won’t be able to sign him on the cheap.
The Nerazzurri are searching the market for a new defender to complete the backline.
But while Simone Inzaghi has been hoping to add an experienced profile like Ricardo Rodriguez or Mario Hermoso, the club owners Oaktree Capital prefer to bring in a young player who can develop at the club and increase his market value.
So in recent days, Zeze has emerged onto the scene as a possible candidate.
The 19-year-old is a Nantes native who joined his hometown club at a tender age. He rose through the ranks all the way to the senior squad.
Last season, the youngster’s exploits in Ligue 1 earned him a new contract until June 2028.
So according to FcInterNews, the French club isn’t keen to sell the teenager, unless an irresistible offer arrives.
As the source explains, Nantes have already rejected a bid worth 13 million euros.
Nevertheless, the club would be willing to do business if a suitor puts 20 million euros on the table.
Nantes Youngster Nathan Zeze Would Cost Inter Milan €20 Million
Therefore, if Inter wish to sign the young centre-back, they will have to splash the cash.
Nevertheless, this figure could be difficult to forge for the Nerazzurri, especially for an unproven youngster.
The club’s management has been financing the market through sales. So it remains to be seen if the Italian champions would be willing to spend a relatively large amount on a youngster who would essentially serve as a backup for Alessandro Bastoni.
