Inter Milan striker Joaquin Correa could become a dilemma for the club, while his rumored move to Lazio is unlikely to materialize.

The 29-year-old joined the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2021, following in the footsteps of his coach Simone Inzaghi.

However, the Argentine failed to deliver the same positive displays he produced during his time in the Italian capital.

After two underwhelming campaigns, he joined Marseille on loan last summer in the hopes of reigniting his career. Yet, his performances continued to plunge, as he couldn’t even contribute in a single goal all season.

Therefore, Correa returned to Appiano Gentile where he’s currently training under Inzaghi’s guidance once more.

However, Inter are keen on offloading the Argentina international one way or the other before the summer ends.

In recent days, some reports indicated that Lazio could try to bring back the second striker. Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito would reportedly like to sign him on a free transfer.

Nevertheless, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla pours cold water on this suggestion.

Pedulla Doesn’t Expect Inter Milan Striker Joaquin Correa To Rejoin Lazio

The transfer market guru insists that a return to the Stadio Olimpico is highly unlikely at this point.

“Correa’s transfer to another club in Italy is very difficult,” said the journalist in a vided he uploaded on his YouTube channel via via FcInter1908.

“I don’t believe in the return of the prodigal son [to Lazio].”

Moreover, Pedulla reveals that Correa had already received some offers from abroad. However, he decided to reject them.

The journalist notes that the Argentine could become a headache for the Nerazzurri. Therefore, the management should consider rescinding his contract to at least get rid of his wages.

“He said no to several clubs abroad. So he could become a big problem. At the moment, just getting rid of his salary for his last contractual year would be a positive thing for Inter.”
