Retired Italian footballer Lele Adani believes Juventus could emerge as the main challenger for Inter Milan in this season’s Scudetto race.
The two arch-rivals went head-to-head for the Serie A crown during the first half of the previous campaign.
However, the Bianconeri collapsed in February, especially following the Derby d’Italia defeat.
With the Old Lady drifting away, the Nerazzurri coasted towards the Serie A title. They clinched the trophy with five rounds to spare by beating AC Milan in a historic edition of the Derby della Madonnina.
Nevertheless, former Inter defender Adani expects Juventus to be more competitive this time around.
The 50-year-old has been chastising former Juve coach Max Allegri for years. Therefore, he tips the club to produce better results with Thiago Motta now in charge.
The former Italy international heaps praise on the new Juventus manager, and believes his side could be the true anti-Inter this season.
“Who can worry the Nerazzurri? I say Thiago Motta’s Juve,” said Adani via FcInterNews.
“We’re talking about a strong. I like how he operates and what he is creating at the club.”

Motta represented several top clubs during his playing days, including Inter Milan between 2009 and 2012. He won the historic treble under Jose Mourinho’s guidance during his first season at the club.
The Italo-Brazilian has now cemented himself as one of the most exciting young tacticians in European football.
He obtained brilliant results during his time at Bologna, leading them to a groundbreaking Champions League qualification.
But following the expiry of his contract with the Rossoblu, he opted to sign for Juventus earlier this summer.
