Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani considers it a special feeling to be playing with the second star on the Nerazzurri shirt.
The Albanian international spoke to InterTV after the Nerazzurri’s 3-0 friendly win over Las Palmas, via FCInterNews.
Last season, Inter won the Serie A title.
And this was an extremely significant title victory for the Nerazzurri. It was the twentieth in the club’s history.
Inter clinched the title in the derby against AC Milan. That was the first time that either of the two city rivals had done so in that match.
Both the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri had been on nineteen titles in their history heading into that derby. Therefore, it was a big victory for the former.
And it means that, with twenty league titles in their history, Inter can now put two stars above the club crest on their shirts.
That is still some way off from Juventus, who comfortably lead the way in terms of Serie A titles won and have three stars on their shirt.
But Inter are only the second team to be able to achieve the second star.

Inter’s shirt next season will have both the Scudetto on the chest, and the second star above the club crest.
Nerazzurri midfielder Asllani said that “Next season we’ll try and do it all again.”
“We’re a great team,” the 22-year-old continued. “And we have to aim for the top in all competitions.”
“It was very emotional to take to the pitch with two stars and the Scudetto,” Asllani admitted.
“And now we can’t wait to return to the San Siro and play in front of all our fans.”
Asllani said of the preseason preparations that “At the moment it’s normal we have to build up fitness in our legs.”
“And then if we can win, all the better,” he said of playing in friendlies.
The Inter midfielder also remarked that “The new signings are fitting in very well.”
“We know that it’s easy to fit into our group, which is strong and has a friendly atmosphere.”
