Nantes defender Nathan Zeze would prefer a move to Inter Milan over suitors in the Premier League if he is to leave this summer.

This according to French football journalist Santi Aouna. He reports in a tweet that the 19-year-old will not force his way out of Nantes, however. He would cost around €20 million.

Teenage defender Zeze is one of the names to have come onto Inter’s radar this summer.

The Nerazzurri are in search of a defender. The specific profile that they are seeking is a player capable of playing on the left of the back three.

This is indirectly the result of a serious injury to Tajon Buchanan.

The Canadian international suffered a broken leg while with his national team at the Copa America earlier this month.

Therefore, Buchanan will miss the first few months of next season.

In the Canadian’s absence, Carlos Augusto will have to play exclusively or primarily at wingback.

Given that the versatile Brazilian had played significant minutes on the left of the back three last season, Inter will need to sign a new defender capable of filling in for Alessandro Bastoni in that role.

Nantes defender Nathan Zeze is another player who Inter are tracking as a possible defensive reinforcement.

Reports of the Nerazzurri’s interest in the Frenchman emerged last week.

Inter have already inquired about the availability of Zeze.

Nantes would be willing to sell the 19-year-old, reports French journalist Aouna. However, they would demands a fee of €20 million.

Meanwhile, Aouna reports, clubs from the Premier League have also shown an interest in signing Zeze.

However, between those English clubs and Inter, the preference of Zeze himself would be towards an Inter move.

However, Aouna anticipates, Zeze is not going to force a transfer. If Inter do not make an offer that convinces Nantes, then the 19-year-old could remain where he is this summer.
