Defender Yann Bisseck and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan have both been having outstanding preseasons for Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter’s preseason is now in full swing.

The Nerazzurri squad have been in training for more than two weeks. And they have played three friendly matches so far.

Inter have faced the likes of Lugano, Pergolettese, and Las Palmas in friendlies to date. The performances have been impressive.

In the meantime, players have been filtering back into training after their extended holidays.

The return of five Italian internationals last week following their post-EURO 2024 vacations proved to be the biggest influx of Inter squad members. There are still more to come though.

Nevertheless, there are several players who have been in training right from the start.

And a few of these in particular have really used the preseason as an opportunity to impress.

Yann Bisseck & Henrikh Mkhitaryan Shine In Preseason For Inter Milan

As the Corriere note, the revelation of Inter’s preseason has undeniably been striker Mehdi Taremi.

The Iranian joined Inter on a free transfer from Porto this month. He’s been part of the training camp from day one.

And Taremi has both started and scored in each of Inter’s three preseason friendlies so far. He’s on five goals for the summer.

But while Taremi has gotten the goals, there have been some outstanding performances elsewhere in the team.

Defender Bisseck is another player who has been part of Inter’s squad since the team convened for preseason training.

The German has now been a Nerazzurri player for twelve months.

Last season Bisseck had to settle into life at Inter after making a big step up from Danish side Aarhus. He did so well, if gradually.

But after exceeding expectations last time out, this time the expectations are higher.

That doesn’t look to be a problem for Bisseck in preseason though. The 23-year-old has been playing his role on the right side of Inter’s defense with great assurance and maturity.

Those are also qualities that midfielder Mkhitaryan has shown, unsurprisingly.

The former Arsenal and Roma midfielder is now 35 years of age.

But Mkhitaryan does not just give Inter a veteran presence. His pace and fitness levels still show few signs of his advancing years.

Mkhitaryan has used this summer to rest from last season, and build his physical condition back up.

And the Armenian’s displays in preseason suggest that he’ll be ready for another season like last one.
