Former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi is a big fan of the job Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio have done as Inter Milan’s transfer masterminds.
Tacchinardi spoke to Italian newspaper Quotidiano Sportivo in an interview published in yesterday’s print edition, via FCInterNews.
Veteran football executive Beppe Marotta has been Inter’s CEO of sport since 2018.
The Nerazzurri snapped Marotta up almost immediately after he had left Juventus.
And as Marotta had guided the Bianconeri to a virtually unprecedented era of success, he has done similarly at Inter.
Even in a period where the Nerazzurri have struggled with major financial issues, they have won trophies in each of the last four seasons.
Inter have also reached Europa League and Champions League finals since Marotta’s arrival.
Therefore, it was not that much of a surprise to see Inter owners Oaktree Capital name the 67-year-old as the new club President earlier this summer.
Meanwhile, Inter Sporting Director Ausilio has also played a key role alongside Marotta.
Ausilio has been at Inter for over a decade. And during that time, he has grown into his role as the club’s Sporting Director.
Now, Ausilio plays just as important a role as Marotta, as an architect of not just the Nerazzurri’s squad but also their entire sporting project.
Ex Juventus Midfielder Tacchinardi Full Of Praise For Inter Duo Marotta & Ausilio
Former Juventus midfielder Tacchinardi gave his thoughts on Inter’s two key transfer men.
“The way that Marotta and Ausilio have managed the past two seasons speak for themselves,” he said.
“If a hole is created in the squad, they fill it.”
“Look at Taremi,” Tacchinardi said as an example. “One player leaves, and another comes in.”
“There’s always a solution to fill the holes quickly,” the former midfielder said.
“Among the big teams in Serie A, Inzaghi is the only coach who is already working on a basis that we know well.”
“Meanwhile all the other big teams in Serie A will be looking to implement big changes in September.”
