Inter Milan attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni will undergo medicals on a loan move to Marseille on Saturday.

This according to Argentine journalist German Garcia Grova. He reports that the 19-year-old will be in Milan soon to sign a contract extension with Inter, and then he will undergo medicals in France.

Now it is only a matter of time. Carboni will be joining Marseille this summer.

The Nerazzurri have found a complete agreement with the Ligue 1 club on the terms of a deal.

The move will not be a permanent transfer right away. Rather, Carboni will be joining Marseille on an initial paid loan deal.

Then, the French side will have a purchase option to sign Carboni on a permanent basis.

Reports indicate that Marseille will pay Inter a 1 million loan fee this summer. Then, the purchase option will be right around 40 million.

Meanwhile, Inter will have a buyback option. They can sign Carboni right back in the event that Marseille decide to exercise their purchase option.

Inter President Beppe Marotta has confirmed that the Nerazzurri will still have control over Carboni’s future per the terms of the deal with Marseille.

Valentin Carboni To Undergo Marseille Medicals On Saturday

Now that the agreement is in place between Inter and Marseille, all that remains is for Carboni to complete the move.

The teenager has been on vacation after the Copa America. He was part of the Argentina team that won the tournament.

However, Argentina journalist Grova reports, Carboni will return to Italy imminently.

He anticipates that the 19-year-old will be in Milan to sign a contract extension with Inter in the next day or so. His current contract with the Nerazzurri runs until the end of June 2028.

However, that contract extension will only be preparatory for the loan to Marseille.

Once Carboni gets that out of the way, he will travel to France.

There, the Argentine will undergo his medicals and then sign his contract to become a Marseille player for next season.
