Fiorentina are running into the same obstacles as Inter Milan did in their efforts to sign midfielder Tanner Tessmann from Venezia.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that La Viola are also finding negotiations with the 22-year-old’s agents to be difficult.

Inter were in talks to sign Tessmann from Venezia earlier this summer.

The Nerazzurri’s interest in signing the 22-year-old emerged last month. Reportedly this came up during talks between Inter and Venezia regarding the newly-promoted club’s interest in some Inter players.

Inter reportedly saw Tessmann as a possible signing for the longer term future.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri’s intention was reportedly to sign the American this summer, and then loan him back to Venezia for next season so that he could continue to play regularly.

The talks between Inter and Venezia had gone on for several weeks.

And the two clubs were reportedly very close to hammering out a deal for Tessmann.

However, reports indicated that the negotiations between Inter and the player stalled.

This was partly the result of disagreements on financial terms, including wages for Tessmann and commissions for the midfielder’s representatives.

And then there was also the matter of Tessmann’s demands as far as his preferred loan move.

Fiorentina Encounter Same Hurdles As Inter In Tanner Tessmann Pursuit

With Tessmann’s move to Inter not materializing, the door has opened for other clubs in Serie A to try and sign the 22-year-old.

There has been a fair bit of interest in Tessmann’s signature.

Torino in particular have reportedly seen the US international as a target.

And in recent days, Fiorentina had seemingly been getting close to signing Tessmann. They reportedly have been trying to close the deal in the last day or two.

La Viola, like Inter, had managed to find an agreement with Venezia.

However, the talks with Tessmann’s representatives have stalled, as was the case with Inter.

Tuttosport report that this is the result of demands for wages and agent commissions that Fiorentina deem excessive.
