Inter Milan striker Martin Satriano is still having second thoughts on whether or not to accept a move to Brest on a permanent basis.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews. The outlet reports that the 23-year-old Uruguayan international is still hoping for a move to a team in La Liga.

Ligue 1 side Brest have been trying to sign striker Satriano on a permanent basis from Inter this summer.

The French team have had Satriano on loan twice.

First, the Uruguayan had spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan with Brest. He then spent the following campaign on loan with Empoli in Serie A.

Then, last season Satriano had been on loan with Brest once again.

The Breton side managed a surprise qualification for the Champions League.

And Brest are keen to keep the team together for next season, with both Ligue 1 and the Champions League to play in.

Therefore, Brest have been pushing to sign back Satriano. They want to buy the 23-year-old outright rather than bringing him back for another loan.

Inter Striker Martin Satriano Still Having Second Thoughts On Brest Move

Brest have been negotiating with Inter to sign Satriano outright.

The French club have agreed a fee with the Nerazzurri. They are ready to sign the Uruguayan in a deal worth around €6 million in total.

However, Brest have been working to convince Satriano on a deal.

The 23-year-old has yet to fully commit to the prospect of joining Brest permanently.

There has been some other interest in Satriano’s signature. The likes of Stuttgart, Real Betis, and Valencia all registered an interest.

However, there have not been any other serious offers to date.

But Satriano would prefer a move to a team in La Liga rather than Ligue 1 if he is to leave Inter for good this summer.

The Uruguayan is considering accepting the transfer to Brest. But he has not confirmed that yet, as he still considers other possibilities, and La Liga in particular.
