Inter Milan have been offered the chance to sign Bologna-linked Toulouse defender Logan Costa this summer.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri are not likely to sign the Cabe Verdean international due to the fact that he is right-footed.

This summer, Inter are looking to sign one more defender.

The Nerazzurri’s intention is to sign a player who is capable of backing up Alessandro Bastoni on the left of the back three.

This is because Carlos Augusto will have to play primarily or exclusively at wingback next season. That will be for at least as long as Tajon Buchanan is on the sidelines.

Last season, Augusto had played a significant number on the left of the back three as a backup for Bastoni.

Therefore, Inter are seeking to bring in a defender with the right profile to play on the left of the back three in order to make sure they have sufficient squad depth.

Inter Milan Offered Toulouse Defender Logan Costa

The Nerazzurri had looked to be on the verge of a deal to sign Juan Cabal from Hellas Verona.

However, Juventus hijacked that deal and the Colombian joined the Bianconeri instead.

The likes of Zenit St. Petersburg’s Robert Renan and Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior are reportedly among the Nerazzurri’s target.

Meanwhile, links to Dinamo Zagreb’s Mauro Perkovic and Valencia’s Yarek Gasiorowski have also emerged in the last couple of days as Inter have cast a wide net in their search.

And on the other hand, there would be the possibility of signing an older player on a free transfer.

Both Ricardo Rodriguez and Mario Hermoso have emerged as prospective signings in this respect.

And according to FCIN, Inter have been offered yet another player as a possible defensive reinforcement.

In a recent meeting with agent Michelangelo Minieri, the outlet reports, the agent suggested Toulouse defender Logan Costa as a possible target.

Costa has been playing for Toulouse since the summer of 2021. He has represented France at youth team level up to the Under-17 team, but switched allegiances to Cape Verde at senior level.

Bologna are also considering Costa as a possible target, reports FCIN.

But for Inter, the 23-year-old would not be a particularly appealing target.

This is due to the fact that Costa plays with his right foot. He does not have experience playing on the left of a defense.
