All of Marcus Thuram, Benjamin Pavard, Denzel Dumfries, and Stefan de Vrij will be back in training for Inter Milan on Saturday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They also note that captain Lautaro Martinez should be back in around a week.

Inter’s squad is really starting to come together in preseason training.

At the start of the training camp, there were big chunks of the team missing. This was the result of the majority of the Nerazzurri’s key starters being on international duty during the summer.

Multiple players were in action at the Euros with various different national teams. And Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez won the Copa America with Argentina.

Therefore, the international players in Inter’s squad have had extended vacations to rest and recover after their exertions at major tournaments this summer.

The returns have been staggered based on how far their respective teams went at the tournament.

Last week, Inter’s five Italian internationals from EURO 2024 came back. The likes of Marko Arnautovic, Yann Sommer, and Hakan Calhanoglu then followed.

And this weekend, there will be another highly significant tranche of players back. Inter’s squad will nearly be complete.

Thuram, Pavard, Dumfries & De Vrij Back In Inter Training Saturday

Four Inter players in total reached the semifinals of EURO 2024.

Striker Thuram and defender Pavard did so with France. Les Bleus went out to eventual winners Spain, though neither Inter player started in the semifinal match.

Meanwhile, both Dumfries and de Vrij started for the Netherlands against England.

And all four of those internationals will be back in training on Saturday.

Inter’s squad will be virtually complete after the piecemeal process of players filtering back into training this summer.

That will just leave captain Martinez.

The 26-year-old was the top scorer at the Copa America as Argentina lifted the trophy. He will be back in training for Inter on the eighth of August.
