The transfer of Lucien Agoume to Sevilla is edging ever closer, as the player’s agents visited the Inter Milan headquarters on Thursday afternoon.

The 22-year-old is a Sochaux youth product who joined the Nerazzurri in 2019. The midfielder made waves during his time with the Primavera, but couldn’t carve himself enough space with the senior team.

The Frenchman had loan spells at Spezia, Brest and Troyes in previous years. Last January, he joined Sevilla on loan with an option to buy.

While the Andalusians initially opted against keeping his services, they recently returned to negotiate new terms for the player’s return.

According to FcInterNews, Agoume’s agent Djibrill Niang arrived at Inter’s headquarters in Viale Della Liberazione on Thursday, accompanied by Crescenzo Cecere who works as an intermediary. The source also posted a video showing their arrival.

As the report explains, the parties are now working on finalizing an agreement between the two clubs.

Agent Reveals Lucien Agoume Close To Complete Move From Inter Milan To Sevilla

The most concrete solution appears to be a transfer fee worth 4 million euros in addition to a 50% sell-on fee.

Following the meeting, Italian journalist Daniele Mari interviewed Agoume’s agent who reassured that the talks are going according to plan.

Niang is thus hoping to conclude the operation in the next two days.

“Everything is going well, I hope we can close in a day or two. It’s almost done,” said the agent.

“Lucien is obviously happy to return to Sevilla, he’s had a very good time in the six months he spent at the club.

“He had lots of offers but the priority was always Inter. He learned a lot at this great club and Serie A is a top league.

“Playing under the guidance of great managers like Conte and Inzaghi since the age of 17 certainly helped him. His Nerazzurri teammates also helped him improve.

“When you play for Inter, you can play anywhere else.

“Is this a final goodbye? Who knows. Lucien loves Milano and Inter, maybe there may be an opportunity to return when he’s 28 or 29.”
