The thought of seeing Federico Chiesa sign for Inter Milan as a free agent is reportedly becoming a growing concern at Juventus.

The 26-year-old has been a mainstay in Turin since making the move from Fiorentina in the summer of 2020.

Therefore, the Italian is no stranger to controversial transfers. But could he end up joining the Nerazzurri next summer?

According to La Stampa via FcInter1908, Juventus are increasingly worried about this possibility.

Chiesa’s contract with the Bianconeri is only valid until June 2025. And with no extension on the horizon, it appears that the winger is heading towards the exit door at Continassa.

Moreover, new Juventus manager Thiago Motta doesn’t fancy working with the Italy international. The coach reportedly considers Chiesa inapt to his tactical system.

Hence, the Old Lady is ideally hoping to cash in on the player this summer. As the source tells it, the player and his agent Fali Ramadani are searching for options in the Premier League.

Juventus Worried About Losing Federico Chiesa To Inter Milan On Free Transfer

But if a transfer doesn’t materialize this summer, Chiesa could simply decide to bide his time in Turin before leaving the club next summer as a free agent.

And in this case, Inter could emerge as a concrete solution. After all, Beppe Marotta and Co have a knack for snapping up some of the most renowned free agents.

The newspaper believes that this scenario is particularly worrying for Juventus. The club would loathe the notion of reinforcing their arch-rivals.

For his part, Italian journalist Sandro Sabatini reveals that Inter president Marotta contacted Chiesa on his wedding day which occurred last month.

“The player is not at all grateful to the club that paid 50 million for him and waited a year for his recovery,” he told Radio Radio.

“And now, he’s considering leaving on a free transfer because on the day of his wedding, Marotta sent him a message.”
